The Matrix: Chronicles of Ilia

It seems that today I'm reviewing sites based on plots that I know little to nothing about. No matter though, good roleplay sites know how to get the plot across and The Matrix: Chronicles of Ilia does an acceptable job of doing that.

The year is 2216. The machines have been in power for over two hundred years. Each year finds them with newer technology with which we have a more and more difficult time trying to keep up. They also have humans fighting for them now... people that turned their back on our cause in an effort to halt our progress. They want the bliss of ignorance... they want to return to the facade from which they were pulled. - excerpt from The Matrix: Chronicles of Ilia's side bar.

It's a pretty good site. I have no huge complaints about it, so I think it's worth joining for all of you Matrix fans and cyber-punks out there.

  1. Design - 9/10 It just seems a little bland. They don't use any intense colors, but with black, white, and gray as their base colors, they kind of need some pizazz. Their greens are a bit undersaturated, but as long as I can read what's being typed, I don't see why it should get anything lower than a nine.
  2. Rules - 10/10 Easy to follow and organized
  3. Plot - 9/10 It took a while for me to comprehend what was being said, it'd be a ten if it was more self-explanatory, but if you know The Matrix you'll know what's going on.
  4. Members - 10/10 Invisionfree keeps me from knowing how active this site really is, but it seems active enough.
  5. Overall - 9.5/10 I think with a little work this site could go far, and I hope it does.
